Frederico da Costa Pinto | 35 yo | from África do Sul

Ever since he was a little boy, he showed his passion for this area when he was always in the kitchen wanting to help or take part in the big family dinners. That's why, in 2008, he enrolled on the Food Production in Catering course at the Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism. 

After his course and internships, he worked in various hotels and restaurants, such as the InterContinental in Estoril, where he got to know Chef Jorge Fernandes, as well as the famous Sushi Samba Restaurant in London and Sushi Samba Amsterdam, where he was a Sous-Chef.

Since 2019 he has been in Portugal, where he wants to continue his career, as he believes that there is no product like ours and no better cuisine. He was in charge of the kitchen at the emblematic Faz Figura Restaurant in Lisbon.

At the moment he has started a new project at the Golfinho Azul Restaurant in Praia de S. Lourenço, Ericeira, under the guidance of Chef and friend Pedro Castro.
