Our approach focuses on selected areas of hotel operations, supported by environmental management processes, external certifications and local initiatives. The measures in place vary by hotel and continue to evolve as we review our practices and identify opportunities for improvement.

Our operational teams consider opportunities to prevent, separate and appropriately manage waste as part of their day-to-day practices.

CERTIFICATIONS AND PROGRAMMES

EarthCheck Certification

EarthCheck assesses certified tourism businesses against its Company Standard, which covers environmental and social performance indicators relevant to the tourism and hospitality sector.
The current certification level and validity applicable to each hotel are available in the corresponding certificates below.

Programas Empresas Turismo 360º

Memmo Unforgettable Hotels participates in Programa Empresas Turismo 360º, an initiative developed by Turismo de Portugal to encourage companies to integrate Environmental, Social and Governance considerations into their strategy and management.
The programme provides a framework for participating companies to develop, monitor and report on their approach over time.
By joining this initiative, we commit to:
