Tekst Joana Duarte: Joana Duarte is chef-kok met een opleiding in mariene biologie, biotechnologie en oceanografie. Aanvankelijk werkte ze in pelagisch onderzoek, voordat ze overstapte naar culinaire studies aan de Hoffman School in Barcelona. Met 15 jaar ervaring in de keuken heeft ze gewerkt in restaurants met Michelinsterren en in restaurants met haute cuisine.

Door haar kennis van de oceaan te combineren met haar passie voor gastronomie, creëerde ze de Rota das Algas, die wetenschap en culinaire kunsten combineert en echt unieke ervaringen biedt.
