Driven by a lifelong passion for the ocean, he has spent more than 25 years exploring the underwater world. A certified freediving and scuba instructor, he combines deep knowledge of marine ecosystems with a mission to inspire others to discover the ocean safely, responsibly, and with a sense of wonder.
Today, through PuraVida Divehouse in Sagres, he introduces guests to the freedom of freediving and the extraordinary world hidden beneath the Atlantic surface.

Pedro Lima is the founder and CEO of Sea4Us, a biotechnology company dedicated to discovering innovative treatments inspired by marine biodiversity. Based in Sagres and Lisbon, Sea4Us explores bioactive compounds found in marine organisms such as sponges, sea anemones and algae, transforming them into potential pharmaceutical solutions for diseases with limited treatment options.
With a focus on chronic pain, epilepsy, osteoarthritis, overactive bladder and antibiotic development, Pedro has built a career at the intersection of science, innovation and ocean conservation. Through Sea4Us, he demonstrates how protecting marine ecosystems, particularly the biodiversity of the Vicentine Coast, can generate both scientific breakthroughs and tangible benefits for society.
