Oceanic Global Short Film 2025

Oceanic Global is launching the 2025 Short Film Festival Competition, set to take place around Earth Day 2025. 

The goal of Oceanic Global is to reconnect humanity to the ocean as the lifeblood of our planet and provides tangible solutions and blueprints for coexisting in harmony with the natural world. Their mission is to spotlight emerging filmmakers and their stories who are passionate about connecting people to the ocean, highlights the ocean's vital role in supporting all life on earth and bringing key issues to the surface. 

The Oceanic Global Short Film Festival launched in 2020 with the aim of uplifting environmental and Ocean storytelling from around the world. Oceanic Global Hubs will be hosting the third edition of the Short Film Festival with a Flagship event in New York City during Earth Month (April) and global Satellite Screenings through the World Ocean Month (June) 2025.

This year's theme, Wonder, will explore the awe-inspiring aspects of our Planet, encouraging creative storytelling that underscores our profoung connection to nature and highlights the vital role that Ocean plays as a sustaining life. 

From May 16th to May 18th, Memmo Baleeira will take part on this journey and promote the Oceanic Foundation's film and enhance an entire weekend of sustainability with special activities and special guests.
